Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information DataPilot (“DataPilot”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the application at datapilot.justgotalead.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID. We use this to identify your workspace and keep your work private to you.
• Content you create. Pipelines, dataflows, notebooks, SQL scripts, compute (Spark) configurations, and files you upload.
• Connection credentials. If you save a database or service connection, its secrets (e.g. passwords) are encrypted at rest and are never returned to the browser after saving.
• Data you process. Records that flow through pipelines you run, which may be stored in your workspace’s data area to power previews and results.
• Technical data. A session cookie (etl_session) used to maintain your session, plus basic server logs.

2. Google user data and Limited Use

If you authorize Google scopes (such as Google Sheets), we access only the data needed to perform the action you request — for example, reading a spreadsheet you choose so its rows can be imported into a pipeline. We do not use Google user data for advertising and we do not sell it.

DataPilot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How we use information

• To provide, operate, and secure the service and your workspace.
• To run the pipelines, queries, and connections you create.
• To diagnose problems and improve reliability.
• To communicate with you about your account or service changes.

4. How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored on servers we operate. Connection secrets are encrypted at rest, access is scoped to your account, and we keep regular backups of workspace metadata. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run DataPilot — for example Google (for sign-in and any Google APIs you authorize) and our hosting infrastructure — and when required by law. Connections you configure (e.g. your own databases) are accessed only to perform the operations you request.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your workspace data until you delete it or ask us to. You can delete individual items in the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see below). Backups age out on a rolling schedule.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Children

DataPilot is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
